India Amarteifio stars as the titular character on Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. The 21-year-old actress recently took a break from her character’s Regency-era costumes and hair styles for a more modern look that stopped us on our tracks.
India portrays young Queen Charlotte on the spinoff of the popular Netflix series. The prequel to Bridgerton focuses on the queen’s rise to power during her teenage years. While India is a relative newcomer to the acting scene (you may have seen her on Sex Education, Evermoor, or Dr. Who), Queen Charlotte is set to be the breakout role for the young British actress.
India recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to talk about the new series. For the occasion, she wore a black-and-silver skirt with matching crop top by SHUSHU/TONG and black strappy heels by Christian Louboutin. She shared photos with her fans on Instagram and was flooded with comments like “How amazing you are🌟,” “You rock, lady,” and “This I LOVE! Xx”
The actress has been making fashion waves in appearances to promote the series. For a London event, she donned a dramatic train paired with a bejeweled strapless top.
Netflix has not yet announced the plans for season 3 of Bridgerton, but Queen Charlotte premiered on May 4. Six episodes isn’t enough? Showrunner Shonda Rhimes and Bridgerton author Julia Quinn penned a companion novel, available May 9.
