Chicago Fire Season 13 Images Reveal Boden’s Replacement in Action
New images from Chicago Fire season 13 offer a closer look at the team’s replacement Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker), revealing what to expect from upcoming episodes. It was previously confirmed that Boden will no longer be Captain of Fire Brigade 51 when Chicago Fire season 13 begins, after being appointed Deputy Commissioner of the Chicago Fire Department at the end of season 12. The team’s new Captain will be Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney), an experienced firefighter from Miami who is described as a fun-loving leader who works well in stressful situations.
Now, two images from Entertainment Weekly reveal a closer look at Captain Pascal in Chicago Fire season 13 ahead of his on-screen debut. The images show him rescuing someone after a major building explosion. Another image also shows familiar members of the team gathered around to respond to the incident of two fire trucks on the street. While he will be replacing Boden on Chicago Fire going forward, it’s clear from his character that he will be quite different from the fatherly leader of Firehouse 51. In addition to his new position as Chief, the firefighter will have to deal with marital issues as his wife Monica (KaDee Strickland) enters the picture. With a full backstory on the way, it looks like he’ll have a lot of work to do when he joins the team. Chief Boden left Firehouse 51 in the Chicago Fire season 12 finale, and his replacement, Dom Pascal, will be introduced in the season 13 premiere.
But, even if his arrival is a welcome one, it will be a difficult transition for many of the current characters. This includes Lieutenant Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg), who was tasked by Boden to look after the Firehouse 51 team before he left. Fortunately, the former Chief will still appear in a recurring role this season, meaning any grievances the team has with their new leader can be worked out with their former mentor. With Pascal becoming the new Chief, it seems like Chicago Fire is expanding to new places for the characters.
While Boden’s role will be different for the next series, Pascal’s willingness to go out on the front lines to save people shows his dedication to his job. While his arrival will create a new dynamic in Chicago Fire that the team will have to get used to, he seems to be settling into his new role quite well. While it won’t be clear how committed he will be until the first episode premieres, this latest image looks like a promising new start for him and for Firehouse 51. Part of executive producer Dick Wolfe’s Chicago series, a television series that explores the lives and careers of various public service workers in Chicago, Illinois, Chicago Fire follows the members of the fictional Firehouse 51. The series focuses on the firefighters and paramedics of Firehouse 51, with a cast that includes Jesse Spencer, Taylor Kinney, Monica Raymund, and Eamonn Walker.
