Let’s be honest, the Young Sheldon spinoff show has a very rogue title with Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage leaving you lightly out of breath after you say it.
The inclusion of First Marriage is also very cryptic, does this mean they’ll get divorced and remarry different people or that they’ll get together in the future? Maybe it just means it’s their first and final marriage, who knows?
Either way, both the cast of the Young Sheldon spinoff and the director himself have cleared up exactly why the title is so confusing, and what it could all mean.

Emily Osment who plays Mandy is very aware the name is strange, but thinks it really makes viewers think about what it means. She told Entertainment Weekly: “It makes the viewer wonder if this is their first marriage or what could be their second marriage? Will their second marriage be to each other? There’s a lot of questions that are asked when you look at that title.”
Director Steve Holland added that viewers wouldn’t guess the meaning of the title straight away, saying: “I don’t think it will be explored right away. I think how you should interpret that title, I hope, is intriguing, and a little playful, and a little mysterious.” Consider me intrigued! All will be revealed later this year when the Young Sheldon spinoff releases.
