The military drama SEAL Team is gearing up for its final run on Paramount+ with a 10-episode run. Lead actor David Boreanaz, who plays Jason Hayes, has been candid about his willingness to move on.

“I made it clear I didn’t want to do it anymore, even if they wanted to do two more seasons, one more season, I was done. So the writers’ strike happened and six months later, the decision was made.”

David also sat in the director’s chair for one of the final episodes and spoke proudly about it, declaring: “Yeah, it was a very powerful episode. I’m so happy to be able to do something with such intensity. And I’m excited to see Jason Hayes, maybe a flag draped over his coffin at the end of the series.

Season 7 and final season of SEAL Team will start with a bang when the first two episodes premiere on Sunday, August 11, exclusively for Paramount Plus viewers in the US and Canada, Express reports.

Australia will join the action from Monday, August 12. continuously, with a new episode every Sunday following the double premiere.

Like other streaming platforms, Paramount Plus rolls out new content at midnight Pacific Time (PT) and 3am Eastern Time (ET).

A Paramount Original Production Plus, SEAL Team is only available to subscribers of the service. In the US, the Essential plan or Showtime bundle will unlock the series as episodes become available.

UK fans are waiting for an official release date for the final season, but it is expected to air on Sky Max as per tradition.

The final chapter of the show, set against the backdrop of the glitz of Los Angeles and the grit of Colombia, sees Neil Brown Jr. (Ray Perry), AJ Buckley (Sonny Quinn) and Toni Trucks (Lisa Davis) reprising their roles.

Beau Knapp will make waves as Drew Franklin, a senior officer with a colourful and troubled past.
The official synopsis teases a tumultuous season: “Jason Hayes struggles to balance his life as a soldier with his responsibilities as a single father. Ray Perry, his trusted second-in-command, wonders if he can leave the battlefield as his retirement approaches.”

The story doesn’t end there: “Dedicated doorman Sonny Quinn battles the changing tides as Jason and Ray’s shifting focus means other teammates must shoulder more responsibility.”

The synopsis ends with a poignant reminder: “Separated from their loved ones at the drop of a hat for global deployment, the Bravo team remains dedicated to their mission. Even in the face of great odds, they know it’s the price they must pay to keep their families safe.”
