On the heels of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage‘s spinoff announcement, Revord was asked why she wouldn’t be in it. The young actor simply revealed that she wasn’t invited, but things have changed since then. She was brought in to appear in episode 2, but recently, Chuck Lorre and his writers expanded her role to be a recurring guest star. This means that after her debut, Missy will continue to appear sporadically throughout the year. Missy’s bedroom scene in Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage could simply be her introduction to the show.
The Young Sheldon sequel can isolate Missy in her bedroom, effectively allowing it to feature the Cooper home without bringing in its matriarch.
It’s difficult to predict exactly what is happening in the said sequence. However, based on her get-up and the background, it seems like it will take place during the night. This makes it easier for Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage to explain why Mary isn’t featured in the episode. For context, Georgie’s mother and Meemaw are only set to appear in the pilot, with no word about subsequent cameos. Even before George’s death and funeral, the trio had already moved in with Mandy’s parents after the bathroom got clogged in Sheldon’s house. Considering Missy’s strained relationship with her mother, her brother’s new place may become her go-to hang-out spot in Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.
