This ‘Chicago Fire’ Character Will Cause Chaos in Season 13

Damon (Michael Bradway) may not have made much of a splash when he first appeared on Firehouse 51 in Chicago Fire Season 12. But heading into Season 13, he’s going to make some people angry after it’s revealed that he’s Kelly Severide’s half-brother, who no one knows about. Chicago Fire showrunner Andrea Newman previewed the upcoming season for TV Insider, where she revealed a lot of chaos Damon has caused. From Severide to Stella and Novak, his presence will be felt on a much larger scale.

Based on his behavior, Damon has been very impressed with Severide and he wants to get to know him better in the upcoming season. Severide always has something going on and this will be something he’ll have to deal with. His main focus seems to be the new leader of Firehouse 51, Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney). “There’s something about the new leader that’s a little… weird,” he tells Stella in the trailer for the new season of One Chicago. Newman says something happened in Miami and “What happened that led him here is revealed in the premiere.”

Meanwhile, Damon tries to form another connection with another member of Firehouse 51, Paramedic Lizzie Novak. But anyone who knows Novak knows that there’s always something unexpected about her. Newman teased an “unexpected love life” for the character. His troubles aren’t over yet, as whatever affects Severide also affects Stella. She cares deeply about him and why he’s hiding the truth from her, his boss.

Pascal’s leadership style is very different from Boden’s. “He’s a completely different type of leader than Boden, who became a father figure when he left home,” Newman says. He’s “mysterious; he wants to peel back the layers of firefighters to learn more about them as firefighters and as people because knowledge is power to him. He has an eye for those who cross the line.” Will he make the team want Boden back? “We say once part of 51, always part of 51. That’s especially true for Boden because he’s still in CFD. So yeah, we do plan on seeing him, even though not right from the start,” Newman said of Boden’s potential return. Season 13 begins with a fiery emergency. An e-cigarette warehouse catches fire and the subsequent rescues lead to “awesome heroic scenes.” “With thousands of nitrous oxide tanks, this place is like a fireworks factory!” Newman teased.
