Yellowstone cowboy Cole Hauser left with ‘heavy heart’ after devastating death in family
‘Her kindness, love, humor and amazing spirit will be missed by not only my family but the world. You have touched so many.
‘I know you will be up in the heavens sitting next to all the great humans that have passed through our earth. We will meet again. Bye for now,’ he ended the message.
Cole has roots in one of the founding families of Hollywood, as his mother was the granddaughter of Harry Warner — one of the four Warner Bros. founders.
Cass wrote the biography The Brothers Warner: The Intimate Story of a Hollywood Studio Family Dynasty.
It was published on June 12, 2008, following a 2007 television documentary of the same name that was written, directed, and produced by Warner.
In the process of creating the two projects, Cass founded her own production company called Warner Sisters.
She was a proud grandmother to Cole’s three kids: sons Ryland, 19, and Colt, 15, and daughter Steely Rose, 11.
In her Instagram profile, Cass described herself as a ‘3rd generation filmmaker, author, mother, Nona, concerned citizen’ and ‘Rip’s mom,’ in reference to son Cole’s Yellowstone character.
Her most recent post was from January and showcased her grandsons.
‘Can you hear we have the future! Good souls coming up the line. So very proud of them—Ryland and Colt. The well done job by Mr. Cole and sweet Cynthia!’ she captioned it.
In a May 2021 Instagram post, Hauser shared a childhood image of him and his mother smiling together.
He wrote, ‘Happy Mother’s Day momma! @casss.warner to many more years together on this planet.’
Speaking to Variety in April 2023, Cass said about her grandfather and his brothers: ‘The family had two extraordinary visionaries in Sam and Harry.’
She noted that her grandfather ‘would be thrilled to see all the new ways that people can communicate with each other.’
