Will the action in “Virgin River” finally speed up? Even the actress admits that a time jump is needed
There’s a lot going on in “Virgin River,” but time seems to move exceptionally slowly. Will that change and the action finally speed up? One of the stars talks about why it’s needed.
Shortly after the season 4 finale of “Virgin River,” it was announced that the next series would be created by a new showrunner. Does the change mean that we’ll have a time jump to move the events forward? Patrick Sean Smith (“Greek”) doesn’t plan on it, but according to Zibby Allen, the series’ Brie, it’s a necessary procedure. Why?
Virgin River season 6 — will there be a time jump?
Filming for season 5 of “Virgin River” is already underway, and in case you were wondering how much time has passed in the series, Alexandra Breckenridge has tallied it up. The actress said that Mel has been in Virgin River for about four months and is currently nine weeks pregnant. Charmaine, on the other hand, is five months pregnant. Time to speed things up?
The showrunner does not share this opinion for now. Patrick Sean Smith told Glamour why he does not intend to introduce time jumps at this point – in his opinion, it would disrupt the flow of the action.
On the other hand, Zibby Allen, aka Brie from the series, believes that speeding up is necessary and has pointed this out to the creators of “Virgin River”.
Viewers have been commenting on Charmaine’s pregnancy for a long time, which seems to have no end. Will we finally find out who the father is in season 5 of “Virgin River”? It is very possible, but don’t expect twins to be born just yet.
We also know that the new episodes are to be more diverse when it comes to showing couples – not all of them will be white and heterosexual. According to Martin Henderson, this will be the best season of them all. At the moment, it is not known when we will see season 5 of “Virgin River”. The crew is working on the set, and filming is to last until the end of November.
