Virgin River season 5 – what will happen? Watch the trailer

In the trailer for the 5th season of “Virgin River”, we see Mel and Jack again, who during a romantic picnic talk about the challenges that parenthood will bring and charmingly argue who will be the better parent. Preacher can also expect changes in his life – the video announces that a new love will appear in the hero’s life. It also looks like dramatic events are coming for the entire town, and Hope in the series announces that Virgin River will “rise from the ashes”.

As we read in the official description of the 5th season of “Virgin River”, the series will feature, among other things, “surprising new relationships, a shocking breakup, a difficult trial, a farewell that will break our hearts, and a fire that threatens the town”.

We will also see how issues related to motherhood force Mel to make an important decision about her future at the clinic, and at the same time, pregnancy unexpectedly triggers an emotional connection with the heroine’s past. In order to further prove his love to Mel, Jack faces matters that have been put off for a long time – his own demons, as well as Charmaine’s. In the meantime, the Doctor and Hope try to overcome their own health problems, seeking solace in their community, in their new, young family, and in each other.

Season 5 will see the return of Alexandra Breckenridge as Mel, Martin Henderson as Jack, Lauren Hammersley as Charmaine, Tim Matheson as the Doctor, Annette O’Toole as Hope, Colin Lawrence as Preacher, Benjamin Hollingsworth as Brady, Zibby Allen as Brie, Sarah Dugdale as Lizzie, Marco Grazzini as Mike, Mark Ghanimé as Cameron, and Kai Bradbury as Denny.

We will also meet new characters – three actors have joined the cast of “Virgin River” season 5. They are Susan Hogan (“Inconvenient Witness”), Elise Gatien (“Supernatural”), and Paolo Maiolo (“Nancy Drew”).

In season 5, “Virgin River” has a change of showrunner – Sue Tenney was replaced by Patrick Sean Smith. “Virgin River” has also been ordered for a 6th season. Filming was supposed to start in July, but it did not happen due to strikes.
