A new Young Sheldon season 7, episode 5 promotional clip shows Missy trying to buy beer with an unexpected friend. Sheldon’s twin has been on her redemption arc just as she promised George in the Young Sheldon season 6 finale. However, although Missy is trying to stay on the straight and narrow path, it doesn’t mean she will no longer have any lapses in judgment, and that’s exactly what’s going to happen to her in the next Young Sheldon season 7 episode.

The Young Sheldon season 7 sneak peek shows Missy and Billy standing in front of a store in the hopes that an adult would help them buy beer. However, despite being underage, Brenda Sparks’ son looks like he is of drinking age, allowing him to easily acquire alcohol.
Young Sheldon Season 7 Supports Missy And Billy Romance Theory
Missy already had a failed romance in Young Sheldon season 7 when her brief relationship with a boy named Taylor ended after he dumped her. It’s unclear what exactly happened, but considering the lack of a social circle for the only Cooper daughter, she seems to be back to hanging out with Billy. Despite Sheldon’s description of his next-door neighbor in The Big Bang Theory, Billy isn’t a bully in Young Sheldon. Instead, he’s quite endearing. Between this and his proximity, Missy is able to spend time with him.
While their friendship seems innocuous, what makes this tandem so interesting is that there are theories that Missy and Billy may have a romantic future. When Sheldon’s sister last appeared in The Big Bang Theory, she was pregnant with her second child while also in the middle of separating from her first husband. The nerd-centric sitcom didn’t reveal who Missy was married to, but speculations have been floating for a while that it may be Billy. Pairing them in Young Sheldon season 7, episode 5 can back up those theories.
Ultimately, Missy was able to fully separate from her first husband, with adult Sheldon’s narration in Young Sheldon revealing that she eventually re-marries. Regardless, it’s still interesting if the prequel is building up to pay off the plot twist about Billy’s role in her life moving forward. If anything, Mandy and Georgie’s spinoff proves that a story is still worth telling even if it’s confirmed to end in heartbreak.
