Dermot Mulroney Reveals New Details About His ‘Chicago Fire’ Police Chief in First Look
Dermot Mulroney is heating up Instagram today, as the Scream VI actor took to his social media account to share the first look at his Chicago Fire character. Set to appear in the next season of the show as Chief Dom Pascal, this first look officially sees Mulroney as a man in uniform. The actor posed for a selfie (in which he looks down at the camera – we like a Boomer), while filming at the Chicago Cultural Center for the show’s next batch of episodes, which premiere on September 25. Sharing the behind-the-scenes photo alongside other shots of the city of Chicago, Mulroney wrote, Chief Pascal will definitely take some getting used to, as the character comes to the Windy City from Miami. He’s headed up north to start a new life after splitting from his ex-wife. Mulroney’s character will take over from Eamonn Walker’s long-time lead Wallace Boden, who has been in command of Firehouse 51 for over a decade. It’s a bittersweet moment to see the new leader enter the picture, but with Walker reprising his role here and there in guest appearances, we can’t wait to see what Pascal brings to the table.
Known for his early roles as a handsome young man in films like Young Guns, Staying Together and the cult classic My Best Friend’s Wedding, Mulroney has retained the charisma, talent and flair to land project after project. The actor has been busy traveling the world from set to set, appearing in eight films in 2023 alone, including joining the Scream family in Scream VI. The actor has a slew of other films lined up over the next few years, including Paul Tamasy’s directorial debut, Depravity, and Shane Black’s crime thriller, Play Dirty. Most recently, news broke that he had wrapped filming on the indie romantic comedy, Perfectly Imperfect, in the Bahamas.
On the small screen, Mulroney is on the call sheet for Starz’s upcoming series, The Hunting Wives, which recently wrapped production on its first season. The drama is based on the novel of the same name by May Cobb and also stars Malin Akerman (Watchmen) and Brittany Snow (John Tucker Must Die).
