Clarkson’s Farm star reunites with Gerald Cooper in heartwarming Diddly Squat update
The trials and tribulations facing Jeremy Clarkson and his team at Diddly Squat have made for entertaining viewing throughout the first two seasons of the hit Amazon Prime series.
While Clarkson was a household name in his own right beforehand, the series also introduced the likes of Kaleb Cooper, “Cheerful” Charlie Ireland, Gerald Cooper, Lisa Hogan, and Alan Townsend (AKA “Alan the builder”) to his fanbase.
Alongside Clarkson, the team has faced all manner of problems to solve in order to keep his Chipping Norton farm running – from ruinous sheep to unpredictable weather.
The show has achieved global plaudits for the chemistry between the stars as well as highlighting the challenges that face UK farmers day in and day out.
Two of the show’s stars have now reunited for a sweet update away from Diddly Squat to share a sweet message to a fan.
Gerald and Alan took to Instagram via the latter’s page to show off the new uniform they’d been supplied with to wear on the farm as filming for season three continues in Oxfordshire.

Gerald and Alan took to Instagram via the latter’s page to show off the new uniform they’d been supplied with to wear on the farm as filming for season three continues in Oxfordshire.
“As you can see,” he continued as he showed off the personalisation on each top. “Alan the builder, Gerald the security guard. Thank you very much.”
Gerald echoed his co-star as he signed off: “Thank you very much!”
The fan who sent over the jumpers was amongst those who replied to the clip as they commented: “Glad they arrived lads. You both look well smart! Enjoy!”
Meanwhile, others were quick to express their delight at seeing the two Clarkson’s Farm fan-favourites back together as filming for season three continues.
“Legend Gerald,” one fan weighed in while a second added: “Loved meeting both of you at the farm in July, lovely guys both of you!”
Alan became a favourite among viewers as the man responsible for carrying out and building Clarkson’s ideas on the farm – from Diddly Squat’s shop to its neighbouring restaurant.
Gerald, on the other hand, endeared himself to viewers thanks to his work making sure the farm was secure – and his often hilarious interactions with Clarkson due to problems with communication.
Filming for season three is still ongoing and scheduled to end in October ahead of the third season.
However, following the backlash of Clarkson’s scandalous column about Meghan Markle, Amazon bosses are no closer to making a decision about whether the series will live on beyond the third run.
Prime Video UK Head of Originals Dan Grabiner addressed the show’s future last month when he said: “No decisions have been made.
“It’s a very complex topic but we are not interrupting production of the current season.”
Clarkson’s Farm fans will undoubtedly have their fingers crossed that there’s plenty more Gerald, Alan, and the rest of the gang beyond the upcoming third season.
