New Chicago Fire Photos Reveal First Look at Boden’s Replacement in Action
With Chicago Fire season 13 filming underway, we knew it was only a matter of time before behind-the-scenes photos would surface online, giving us our first look at Dermot Mulroney as Chief Dom Pascal. While it may have taken longer than expected for these first photos to surface, we now have our first look at the man who will be taking over for Chief Boden at 51.

In the first of two new photos posted by the official account of the Franklin Park Chicago Fire Department, the active-duty members of the Franklin Park Fire Department are all smiles as they pose with Mulroney and returning members Daniel Kyri (Ritter), Miranda Rae Mayo (Kidd), Randy Flagler (Capp), Hanako Greensmith (Violet), Jake Lockett (Carver), and Joe Minoso (Cruz). However, the second of the two photos gives us our best first look at Mulroney’s Chief Pascal as he poses with Chief Stewart of the Franklin Park Fire Department.

The photo gives us our first chance to see Mulroney in the signature uniform of CFD chiefs, and we have to say, he certainly looks the part!

While we’re still unsure how we feel about Herrmann being passed over for the chief role after it was hinted in the season 12 finale that he would be taking over from Boden, we’re excited to see what Mulroney’s chief Pascal brings to the table.

With frontman Pascal described as “fun and good under pressure” with a personality as fun as Miami, where he’s spent the past decade, we’re hoping he picks up where Boden left off in giving 51 a frontman we can root for and know has the team’s best interests at heart.

You’ve Seen Dermot Mulroney Before Chicago Fire Dermot Mulroney may be the newest member of the Chicago Fire cast, but chances are you’ve probably seen him in one of his many iconic roles over the years as Mulroney is no stranger to television — though chances are you’ve probably seen him in one of your favorites as he’s had quite a few.

Mulroney’s first big break came in the 1988 Western Young Guns, in which he starred alongside Emilio Estevez, Kiefer Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips, and Charlie Sheen. In the decades since his breakout role, he has appeared in dozens of films including Angels in the Outfield, My Best Friend’s Wedding, About Schmidt, The Wedding Date, The Family Stone, Dante’s Inferno, Burn After Reading, The Gray, Jobs, August: Osage County, Dirty Grandpa, Scream VI, and Anyone But You.

While Mulroney may be best known for his film roles, he is no stranger to television, having appeared in numerous series over the years. He played Rachel’s temporary replacement at Polo Ralph Lauren on Friends; Sean Pierce, the former owner of Patsy’s Pies and Fiona’s ex-fiancé on Shameless; and most recently, President Ritson in Marvel’s Secret Invasion.

His other television roles include roles on Hanna, Prodigal Son, The Purge, Arrested Development, American Horror Story, American Dad, Pure Genius, and The Batman.

He’s also no stranger to firefighter dramas, having previously appeared in several episodes of ABC’s Station 19, playing Greg Tanner, Ryan Tanner’s father, childhood best friend, and Andy’s ex-boyfriend.
