The former Y&R star, who played Adam Newman, is currently playing Colter Shaw on Tracker and in a few weeks on the May 5 episode, viewers will be introduced to Colter’s sister, Dory.
Actress Melissa Roxburgh takes on the lead role. Roxburgh is best known for her role in Manifest. She has also appeared in Quantum Leap and Supernatural, just to name a few of her other television credits.
In the episode titled “Beyond the Campus Walls,” the CBS series teases, “When a graduate student goes missing after a house party, his friends and family believe he succumbed to the pressures of a research grant. But after consulting with his sister, Dr. Dory Shaw (Roxburgh), a professor at the school, Colter discovers a series of sensitive photos and text messages that lead him to uncover a dangerous (and deadly) conspiracy on campus.”
Colter Shaw’s family history is a running theme throughout Tracker. We learn from flashbacks that Colter, Dory, and their brother Russell had unusual childhoods. Their parents Ashton and Mary were professors at Berkeley until something happened to Ashton. When his paranoia kicked in, he left the family, but Russell went looking for him, and then Ashton was found dead, all signs pointing to Russell pushing him. Now in 2024, Russell contacts Colter and tells him there’s something he “needs to know.” However, Colter’s mother Mary doesn’t want her son to talk to Russell, and that happens early in the season after the second episode.
