The Big Bang Theory Actor Confirmed a Rumor about 1 Controversial Star Actually Being a Really Nice Person in Real Life

Amid controversies, a Big Bang Theory background actor praised Mayim Bialik’s kindness, highlighting her warm, genuine demeanor on set.

In Hollywood, where rumors run wild, it’s often refreshing when the truth reveals a kinder side of the story. Recently, a background actor from The Big Bang Theory took to Reddit to confirm a surprising yet heartwarming truth about Mayim Bialik. The background actor shared that Bialik was nothing but kind and pleasant on the set of the hit CBS show.

On the other hand, the actress has constantly found herself in hot waters due to some of the statements she’s made in the past. This situation truly reflects that public controversies don’t always reflect a person’s true character.

Background Actor Reveals Mayim Bialik Is Actually Nice in Real Life

The Big Bang Theory still boasts an incredible fan following after five years of its conclusion. The hit sitcom ran for 12 seasons and followed the lives of a group of socially awkward scientists and their neighbor Penny. While this was the main cast when the show premiered, several other notable actors were also added as the show progressed.

One such actress was Mayim Bialik, whose introduction in season 3 of the show quickly made her a fan favorite. While Bialik’s statements over the years have landed her in hot waters, a background actor from Big Bang is painting her in a good picture. The actor who preferred being anonymous added on Reddit that they worked on the show during seasons 11 and 12.

The background actor further detailed how the show was filmed and the nearby surroundings of the set. After which they talked about their overall experience of working with the cast. Further, they added that they rarely encountered Kaley Cuoco or Melissa Rauch, as their scenes were primarily in the cafeteria. Further, occasionally Bialik would be present, but most of the time it was just the main actors.

They added that while they didn’t interact much with Jim Parsons or Simon Helberg, they did briefly interact with Bialik, noting that “She’s as nice as you’d imagine.”

Talking about Johnny Galecki, the background actor said that Galecki mostly kept it to himself, especially due to last-minute script changes, which required him to walk around and memorize his lines. Out of the lot they mentioned, Kunal Nayyar was the most approachable and laidback person on set.

The background actor spoke highly of Mayim Bialik, describing her as consistently kind and approachable on set. However, despite these positive personal experiences, Bialik’s numerous controversial statements over the years have led to shifting opinions among critics and fans alike.

Jeopardy! Erases All Traces of Mayim Bialik From Its Website

After the passing of Alex Trebek, Jeopardy! brought in Mike Richards as a permanent host. But just after a week, he was dismissed following the revelation of several problematic comments he made in 2013. After which, Mayim Bialik was brought in as a guest host in 2021 alongside Ken Jennings. But just like Richards, even her past statements caught up to her and sparked a major backlash.

Bialik’s earlier statements on vaccinations and birth control resurfaced, creating a stir among critics and viewers. Further, in her 2012 book Beyond the Sling, she discussed her personal choice not to vaccinate her kids, a stance she has since revised, stating that she now supports vaccinations, including for COVID-19.

Adding more to this, her 2017 New York Times op-ed about Harvey Weinstein’s victims attracted criticism for its perceived insensitivity.

However, after her exit from Jeopardy! it was reported that it was due to Sony’s decision to “maintain continuity for our viewers,” rather than a direct reaction to her comments. Now recently, the show erased all the traces of the actress from their website as well.
