Chicago Fire Casts Private Clinic Veteran KaDee Strickland as New Chief’s Wife

Private clinic veteran KaDee Strickland will reprise her role as Monica Pascal, the estranged wife of character Dermot Mulroney, TVLine has confirmed.

Chicago Fire: Dermot Mulroney Joins Season 13 as New Chief
As TVLine previously reported, Mulroney will join the cast as Chief Dom Pascal, who comes to the Windy City from Miami, where he served as chief for a time, but who actually began his career with the Chicago Fire Department. His leadership style differs from that of beloved Chief Wallace Boden.

Chicago Fire Season 12 Episode 8 Review: All the Dark

The new boss will take over the top spot at Firehouse 51 from Boden, whose role as Eamonn Walker left the NBC drama as its regular chief of police in the Season 12 finale. In the episode, Boden is promoted to Deputy Commissioner of the CFD and later reveals that he wants Herrmann (played by David Eigenberg) to replace him at age 51. But first, Herrmann needs to be promoted to captain and take the Battalion Commander test, so introducing another commander makes sense for the time being.

In addition to starring on the Grey’s Anatomy spinoff Private Practice for six seasons, Strickland’s  television credits include the second season of Freeform’s anthology series Cruel Summer (where she reunited with her Private Practice  TV husband Paul Adelstein and stepson Griffin Gluck), Hulu’s Shut Eye, and ABC’s Secrets and Lies.

Our sister site Deadline was first to report Strickland’s casting.
