Born in 1979 in Melbourne, Australia, Jesse Spencer was already a familiar face to audiences before joining the cast of Chicago Fire. His breakout role was portraying Dr. Robert Chase on the medical drama House, where he starred from 2004 to 2012.
Prior to that, he had small parts in several TV movies, including Lorna Doone, Stranded, and Curse of the Talisman.
As Matthew Casey in Chicago Fire, Spencer plays the confident and dedicated lieutenant of Firehouse 51. He’s also been in sister shows Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med.
Taylor Kinney as Kelly Severide in the Chicago Fire cast
Born in 1981 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Taylor Kinney brings charisma and intensity to the role of Kelly Severide, the fearless and charming squad lieutenant.
Before Chicago Fire, Kinney was best known for his role as Mason Lockwood in The CW’s supernatural drama The Vampire Diaries. He also played the role of Glenn Morrison on NBC’s Trauma.
Kinney appeared in several films, including The Other Woman (2014), Consumed (2015), and The Forest (2016).
Monica Raymund as Gabriela Dawson
Born in 1986 in St. Petersburg, Florida, Monica Raymund portrays Gabriela Dawson, a paramedic and later a firefighter. Before joining the Chicago Fire cast, Raymund had gained recognition for her role in the TV series Lie to Me as well as her appearances on the show The Good Wife.
She’s also appeared in several movies, including 2012’s Arbitrage (with Richard Gere), 2013’s Brahmin Bulls, and 2016’s Happy Baby.
David Eigenberg as Christopher Herrmann in the Chicago Fire cast
Born in 1964 in Manhasset, New York, David Eigenberg brings humor and warmth to the character of Christopher Herrmann, a seasoned firefighter at Firehouse 51.
Eigenberg was no stranger to the small screen, having gained fame for his role as Steve Brady in the iconic series Sex and the City and its sequel And Just Like That… He’s been acting since the 1980s and has appeared in a plethora of television shows including The Practice, The Cosby Show, and Third Watch. He has also had roles in movies including Killing Eleanor (2020) An Acceptable Loss (2018) and See You in September (2010).
Eigenberg has appeared in the other two Chicago franchise shows Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med.
Christian Stolte as Randall McHolland
Christian Stolte was born in 1962 in St. Louis, Missouri. He got his acting chops in the 1990s appearing in a variety of TV shows including Cupid, Turks, and Early Edition. In the 2000s he started to get film work including 2002’s Road to Perdition, 2006’s Stranger Than Fiction and 2008’s The Promotion.
The next decade saw him in The Chicago Code (2011) The Twilight Zone Podcast series (2002-2012) and The Man in the Silo (2016).
He, like many other Chicago Fire actors, also appeared in the sister shows Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med.
Eamonn Walker as Chief Wallace Boden in the Chicago Fire cast
Born in 1962 in London, England, Eamonn Walker portrays Chief Wallace Boden, the steadfast leader of Firehouse 51. Walker brought gravitas to the role, drawing on his extensive experience in both television and film.
Walker started his career as a dancer, but then quickly moved to acting. He’s best known for his work on Oz (1997-2003), and his film roles including Unbreakable (2000), Lord of War (2005) and Blood and Bone (2009).
His career began in the 1980s when he had bit parts in several TV shows including The Two of Us, In Sickness and in Health, and Blind Justice. In the 1990s, he appeared in Birds of a Feather, One Foot in the Grave and The Governor.
Most recently, he’s been in not only Chicago Fire, but also Chicago P.D., Chicago Med, and Chicago Justice.
Jose Miñoso as Joe Cruz
Born in 1978, Jose Miñoso got his acting start in 2005’s Prison Break. From there, he appeared in several TV series, including Chicago Code, Boss, and Get Shorty. He also appeared in several films, including Man of Steel, The Return of Joe Rich, and Polish Bar.
He has been married to Caitlin Murphy Miles since 2016.
Randy Flagler as Harold Capp in the Chicago Fire cast
Born in 1968 in Kansas, Randy Flagler is best known for this role in 2000’s Men of Honor and in 2011’s The Double. He was also in the TV show 24.
Flagler had bit parts in several shows in the 2000s, including NCIS, NYPD Blue, and Shark. He found success on the soap opera The Young and the Restless, and he also had a steady role in the series Raisin’ Junior.
