NCIS just delivered one of its biggest twists in years — and even without appearing onscreen, Leroy Jethro Gibbs still changed everything.
In the explosive penultimate episode of Season 23, the team watched former Army CID director Rogers escape justice after cutting a deal despite his connection to Director Vance’s death. But by the final moments, fans realized someone had stepped in “the Gibbs way.”
The episode strongly hinted that Gibbs secretly helped eliminate Rogers after a mysterious sniper attack tied directly to Alaska — and Parker conveniently ended up with fresh salmon from Gibbs’ home turf.
Wilmer Valderrama says Torres couldn’t have been happier.
“Torres thrives outside the lines,” the actor explained in a new interview. “That’s where he wants to live.”
According to Valderrama, Torres has spent years struggling with NCIS protocols and rules, making this morally gray operation feel strangely satisfying for the character.
The actor also teased that Torres’ rebellious instincts will become even more important in Season 24, hinting that “something pretty big” is coming for the longtime agent.
And when asked who contacted Gibbs? Valderrama only smiled and said: “Someone who knows him.”
