Chicago Fire returns with Season 13 this fall, but there will be some major differences. There are some big-time cast member changes, and some other new additions are coming to the series. This is something happening to all the One Chicago shows, and here is what you need to know about this specific show.
Chicago Fire: Who Is Leaving In Season 13?
The biggest departure for Chicago Fire Season 13 is Eamonn Walker as Wallace Boden. While Boden is not leaving the series, he is stepping down as a regular cast member. He resigned as the chief and will instead move into a role as Deputy Commissioner. This means the show will need to replace him as chief.
An even bigger loss for Chicago Fire Season 13 is Kara Killmer as Sylvie Brett. She made her final appearance in the second half of Season 11, and her last appearance was in February 2024. Sylvie left to be with Matt Casey (Jesse Spencer), and they moved to Oregon. “She and Matt becoming a family is for sure the most natural, inevitable conclusion for the arc of her,” Killmer said.
Jesse Spencer left the series as Matt Casey in 2021. Also leaving the series at the start of Season 12 was Alberto Rosende as Blake Gallo, who left in the Season 12 premiere.
Chicago Fire Season 12 New Cast Members
The biggest character to join the show is one we know almost nothing about. A new person is moving to Chicago to take Boden’s position as chief. The character worked for the CFD before he moved to Miami and served there as a chief for the last decade. He is said to be cheerful, works well under pressure, and has a different leadership style from Boden.
This is a new character named Dom Pascal, and Chicago Fire cast a huge star in the role. Dermot Mulroney (Shameless, The Purge) signed on to play Dom. Recurring as Dom’s estranged wife, Monica, in Season 13 is KaDee Strickland (Charlotte King from Private Practice).
Chicago Fire Season 13: What To Expect
There is not much known about the plot of Chicago Fire Season 13. The only real news is that the team must get used to Dom as their new chief. Expect most of the series to feature the regular stories of the week when it comes to the team fighting fires around Chicago.
The returning cast includes Taylor Kinney as Severiode, David Eigenberg as Herrmann, Miranda Rae Mayo as Kidd, Joe Miñoso as Cruz, Christian Stolte as Mouch, Daniel Kyri as Ritter, and Hanako Greensmith as Violet are all returning as series regulars. Joselyn Hudon, as Novak, received a promotion from recurring to regular.
