Netflix’s Virgin River is no stranger to emotional twists, but few fans expected one of the show’s most familiar faces to leave before Season 8. Marco Grazzini, who portrayed Mike Valenzuela for six seasons, has officially stepped away from the hit drama.
The actor confirmed the news shortly after Season 7 debuted, surprising viewers who had watched Mike remain closely involved in Virgin River’s central relationships and conflicts. His scenes with Brie especially became a major storyline in recent seasons.
Marco later thanked fans and colleagues on Instagram, while co-stars responded with emotional messages reflecting the strong friendships formed during filming.
In a statement discussing his exit, Marco described his time on the series as “wonderful” and emphasized his gratitude for the fan support that helped make the role memorable.
Still, longtime viewers may not need to say goodbye forever. Showrunner Patrick Sean Smith revealed he could imagine Mike returning someday if the story feels right creatively — leaving hope alive for future appearances in Virgin River.
