The world of The Big Bang Theory is officially entering multiverse territory. HBO Max confirmed that Stuart Fails to Save the Universe will debut in July 2026, while newly released photos offer fans their first glimpse at the franchise’s most ambitious project yet.

The series follows Stuart Bloom after he accidentally causes catastrophic damage to reality itself using technology created by Leonard and Sheldon. As alternate universes collide, Stuart teams up with Denise, Bert, and Barry to stop total destruction.

The first-look images reveal dramatic settings far removed from the familiar Pasadena apartments of the original sitcom. In one photo, the group appears trapped in a grim, almost post-apocalyptic world. Another image shows Stuart and Denise sharing a quieter emotional moment beside a glowing blue lake deep in a forest.

The series is being developed by original creators Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady alongside screenwriter Zak Penn, known for major sci-fi films including Ready Player One and The Avengers.
