Young Sheldon has very quickly become a fan favourite throughout its years of airing, and many of its forgotten characters were once the most beloved on-screen faces. From Billy Sparks’s sister to Meemaw’s ex boyfriends, here’s a rundown of all the characters you definitely forgot existed.
Bobbi Sparks

Like her brother Billy, Bobbi used to irritate Sheldon to his breaking point. However, she only made an appearance in one episode, and was never seen again. Maybe she moved in with her dad after her parents Brenda and Herschel split, which would explain her absence, but otherwise, her disappearance remains a mystery.
Tam Nguyen

Tam was one of Sheldon’s best friends at school, featured in many episodes in the first few seasons and even made a cameo in The Big Bang Theory. However, Sheldon, being the genius he is, soon moved to college and made new friends, and it wasn’t long until Tam’s screen time was cut dramatically to zero. Poor Tam!
Libby

Remember Libby? She was a student that Sheldon had a little crush on, which is something I never thought I’d see. When Libby came into his life, we got to see all of Sheldon’s emotional sides and it felt like one of the first times he was just a normal teenage boy.
Erica Swanson

Did you even remember that Paige had a sister? Her name is Erica and she was played by Ella Anderson. The appearance she made on the show was brief: She was at the Cooper’s place for an afternoon while Paige and Sheldon bonded, but Erica ended up finding friends in Missy and Georgie. It’s a shame we never saw her after that, her dynamic character could’ve been a great addition to the Cooper family and our TV screens.
June

There was a lot of friendship between June and Sheldon’s Meemaw, Connie, but she seemed to disappear as the show moved on. They were close pals, but after June joined the gambling business we saw her and Connie’s relationship fizzle out. After season five, she was pretty much gone from the show, but fans did catch a glimpse of her at George’s funeral.
Ira Rosenbloom

Ira was obsessed with Connie, and the pair were in an on and off relationship for a while, and had some pretty hilarious moments, especially when Ira and Dr. Sturgis found out they were both dating Connie. She’s the queen of being messy!
After that awkward encounter, Ira decided to up and leave, and we didn’t see him or even hear about him again. It’s a shame, because he’s one of my favourite forgotten Young Sheldon characters.
Mrs. MacElroy

It’s not a surprise that we didn’t see Mrs. MacElroy again after Sheldon graduated from her class, but after her insane frustration with him and his intellect, I’d hoped to see one of their funny interactions again, maybe even one with Missy.
