After years protecting Los Angeles, Sam Hanna is officially heading home.
CBS has confirmed that LL Cool J will headline NCIS: New York, the franchise’s newest spinoff set to debut this fall. The story follows Hanna returning to New York City, where he partners with a bold and unconventional agent played by Scott Caan.
The casting marks a reunion between CBS and Caan following his fan-favorite role as Danny “Danno” Williams on Hawaii Five-0. Together, the duo is expected to anchor a fresh investigative team facing threats in one of the world’s most complex urban environments.
Veteran NCIS: Los Angeles writer Scott Gemmill is penning the pilot, while Byron Balasco steps in as showrunner.
