The NCIS franchise isn’t slowing down anytime soon. CBS has confirmed NCIS: New York will premiere this fall — and longtime viewers already have a major reason to tune in.
LL Cool J is officially returning as Sam Hanna, the beloved agent who helped define NCIS: Los Angeles for more than a decade. This time, Hanna heads back to his roots in New York City to lead a new team tasked with protecting one of the world’s busiest and most complex security landscapes.
He won’t be working alone. Scott Caan, best known for Hawaii Five-0, joins the cast as Hanna’s unpredictable new partner.
The pilot comes from longtime NCIS: LA writer Scott Gemmill, while Byron Balasco will serve as showrunner — a creative combination designed to balance action, humor, and character-driven storytelling.
As production continues, more casting announcements are expected soon. 🚔✨
