Kristen Stewart joins forces with Oscar Isaac for her upcoming vampire movie.
More than a decade later, since Kristen Stewart last appeared as Bella Swan in the vampire romance movie Twilight, the actress is now eyeing to return to the world of bloodsuckers. Perhaps looking to redeem her vampire past that catapulted her career, Stewart is said to be pairing with Oscar Isaac for a new movie.
From the director of the hallucinatory 2018 horror movie Mandy, Panos Cosmatos is set to helm Kristen Stewart and Oscar Isaac’s new vampire thriller, Flesh of the Gods. Planning to begin shooting later this year, producers of the film announced important details about the upcoming vampire flick.
Kristen Stewart is Set to Return to Her Vampire Past
Kristen Stewart is famously known for her breakthrough role as Bella Swan in the Twilight movies alongside Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. Although it’s been more than a decade since we last saw the actress in the world of bloodsuckers, Stewart addressed Bella and Edward’s relationship, just a month back, during a podcast.
While she still appears to harbor fondness for her Twilight role, Kristen Stewart recently made headlines for returning to her vampire roots. According to THR, the actress is set to star opposite Oscar Isaac in Flesh of the Gods, a vampire thriller from Mandy maker, Panos Cosmatos. With Adam McKay producing this new feature, the film is set to begin production by the end of 2024.
The film is said to be written by Seven screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker. Further, reports suggest that the film is being backed by WME Independent, CAA Media Finance, and XYZ Films. Boasting an impressive team behind the scenes and top-notch talent in front of the camera, Flesh of the Gods is expected to be a high-energy, electric vampire movie.
Stewart Will Join Forces with Oscar Isaac for New Movie
Unfolding in the glitzy 1980s Los Angeles, the upcoming vampire flick Flesh of the Gods follows a married couple, Raoul (Oscar Isaac) and Alex (Kristen Stewart), who lead a repetitive life of luxury as they descend from their skyscraper condo to head into an electric nighttime realm, every evening. But things change after they cross paths with this mysterious and charismatic woman called Nameless.
Isaac and Stewart’s onscreen characters soon get drawn into an extravagant, dream-like world of indulgence, from their luxurious exploration of LA’s vibrant nightlife. The couple finds themselves on a wild journey exploring the surrealistic world of hedonism, thrills, and violence. Panos Cosmatos’ Flesh of the Gods is said to sit at the edge of the wall separating dreams and nightmares.
“This director, this writer, these incredible actors, vampires, choice 80’s punk, style and attitude for miles… that’s the film we’re bringing you today. We think it’s wildly commercial and wildly artful. Our ambitions are to make a movie that ripples through popular culture, fashion, music, and film.” Adam McKay begins.
“Like Los Angeles itself Flesh of the Gods inhabits the liminal realm between fantasy and nightmare. Both propulsive and hypnotic, Flesh will take you on a hot rod joy ride deep into the glittering heart of hell.” Cosmatos added.
