Iain Armitage may not have appeared on Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage just yet, but the former Young Sheldon star isn’t ruling out a return to the Big Bang Theory universe.
Speaking about the possibility of reprising his role as Sheldon Cooper on the CBS spinoff, Armitage shared that he would “be honored” to make a cameo if the opportunity arose. Still, the actor admitted he doesn’t believe his appearance is necessary right now, praising the series for establishing its own identity.
“The cool thing about the entire Big Bang, Young Sheldon, Georgie & Mandy universe is that each spin-off has its own unique flavor,” Armitage explained, adding that the current cast is doing “an awesome job.”
Although he joked that a holiday-themed episode could be a fun way to return someday, Armitage said he’s currently enjoying watching the show as a fan rather than stepping back into Sheldon’s shoes.
