Getting candid.
Bachelor Nation fans saw Gerry Turner look for love on Season 1 of “The Golden Bachelor.”
While he and Theresa Nist ended up going their separate ways, the two are still supportive of each other and wish the best for one another.
This week, Gerry has been taking to Instagram to document what he calls his “Nomad Granddad Tour” across the United States.
He started off his tour in the Midwest and shared photos, writing, “Every year, I take a completely unscripted vacation. I call it the ‘Nomad Granddad Tour.’ Today I headed west for day #1. I drove across Indiana & Illinois into Davenport, Iowa, my former hometown of 40 years. The mighty Mississippi is always beautiful and the ice cream is always perfect. Check in tomorrow to see where the road takes me…”
For the next day, Gerry wrote, “Day #2 of the ‘Nomad Granddad Tour’ covered Iowa, Missouri, and half of Kansas. From the Bridges of Madison County to Pella to the Wizard of Oz Museum, it was a Heartland discovery day. Our beautiful nation on display. I will rest my head at the Best Western Plus in Pratt, Kansas. Where will I be tomorrow? Check here.”
And on the third day, Gerry shared that he made it to New Mexico and will be heading to the Grand Canyon tomorrow.
One fan commented on his post asking whether he is lonely nomading around on his own, and Gerry responded, “I’m not lonely just cuz I’m alone.”
We love following along Gerry’s road trip and can’t wait to see where he heads to next!
