Jamie Dornan has finally spoken out against disturbing online rumors that have recently targeted one of his young daughters, calling the gossip “hurtful, baseless, and deeply upsetting” for his entire family.
In a rare and emotional statement, the actor addressed the malicious whispers that began circulating on social media in recent weeks. The rumors falsely claimed that his eldest daughter, Dulcie (now 12), was involved in inappropriate or exaggerated stories linked to his past fame from the Fifty Shades franchise. Some posts even suggested she was being “exposed” to Hollywood too early or fabricated wild theories about her personal life.
“I’ve stayed quiet for a long time to protect my children from the noise that comes with my job,” Dornan said in the new interview. “But when the lies start targeting my kids — innocent children who have done nothing wrong — I can’t stay silent anymore. These rumors are completely false and incredibly cruel.”
He continued with visible frustration: “My daughters are just normal kids. They go to school, play with their friends, and live far away from the spotlight. The idea that anyone would drag them into nonsense tied to my old movies is disgusting. It’s not fair to them, and it’s not fair to my wife Amelia, who works so hard to give them a normal childhood.”
Dornan emphasized that he and Amelia have always chosen to keep their four children (three daughters and their newborn son) completely private. They have never shared their faces publicly, avoided family photos on social media, and limited any mention of them in interviews to general, loving terms only.
“People can say whatever they want about me — I’ve heard it all,” he added. “But when it reaches my children, that crosses a line. I’m asking everyone to stop. Let them grow up in peace.”
The actor also revealed that the family has had to deal with increased security concerns and difficult conversations with their older daughters after some classmates mentioned the online gossip.
