Netflix has already confirmed that Virgin River will return for Season 8, continuing the story after Season 7’s major developments for Mel and Jack.
While official casting announcements are still pending, the main ensemble is expected to return, including Alexandra Breckenridge, Martin Henderson, Tim Matheson, Annette O’Toole, Colin Lawrence, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Zibby Allen, Sarah Dugdale, Kai Bradbury, and Kandyse McClure.
However, showrunner Patrick Sean Smith confirmed that Marco Grazzini (Mike) and Lauren Hammersley (Charmaine) will not return for the upcoming season.
Season 8 will likely continue exploring Mel’s long-standing dream of motherhood after the couple’s adoption storyline in Season 7.
If production begins as expected in 2026, the new season could arrive on Netflix in 2027. 📅
