Young Sheldon’s Raegan Revord Had A Forgotten Role In This Popular TV Show

Raegan Revord is best known for the spectacular job she does in Young Sheldon, but what fans might not know is that she also enjoyed a small role in another popular TV show.

Young Sheldon first appeared on CBS in 2017, and has been a hit ever since.

The sitcom tells the story of a young Sheldon Cooper, with Revord portraying the character’s twin. The show is a prequel to The Big Bang TheoryJim Parsons, who plays Sheldon in the original series, does not appear in Young Sheldon, but functions as the spin-off’s narrator.

Young Sheldon has made the young stars of the show a lot of money in the six seasons the show has been on, and season 7 will help them amass more.

Before Revord’s life-changing experience in Young Sheldon, she had also played minor roles in other TV shows and commercials. One of those was in the popular ABC sitcom, Modern Family.

Raegan Revord’s Role In Modern Family Was A Stepping Stone In Her Acting Career

Raegan Revord secured her role in Modern Family at just six years of age, with the help of her manager. She portrayed the character Megan, described as “Lily’s adorable friend from school,” and appeared in two episodes in the sixth and seventh seasons of the show.

Through this minor supporting role, the young actress was able to strengthen her chances of getting bigger gigs, while at the same time growing her acting skills. After Modern Family, Revord scored a few roles in other streaming shows such as Grace and Frankie on Netflix.

She then joined the sitcom Teachers in the Season 2 episode titled School Sweet School. In 2017, she played Amy in the short film I See You and later appeared in the horror movie Wish Upon, as a younger version of Joey King’s lead character Clare Shannon.

Sheldon Cooper didn’t have the best relationship with the rest of the Coopers’ on Big Bang Theory, and season 7 of Young Sheldon finally explains why.

Revord also joined the cast of Alexa and Katie, albeit for just one episode, before her big break eventually arrived in the same year, when she landed the role of Missy Cooper in Young Sheldon.

Responding during a separate interview with Unclear Magazine on how she felt being on the show, she said, “Our production has been so great about letting us be kids and not making us grow up too fast. They created a really fun, safe space. I’ve always felt heard and respected, which I don’t think is very common for a child actor.”

Fans love the storyline between Georgie and Mandy in ‘Young Sheldon’, leaving them wanting a different ending than what has been written for the duo.

Despite her unforgettable performance in Young Sheldon, her earlier role in Modern Family also remains a memorable part of her career, showcasing her versatility as an actress in two beloved TV shows.

Tragedy occurs in the Season 6 finale of Young Sheldon, which forces Missy to become completely different. Before this moment, she exhibits rebellious behavior and causes a lot of problems for The Coopers. She even runs away from home, saying she feels overlooked by her parents, compared to her brothers.

However, she faces a near-death experience when a tornado rips through their hometown of Medford, leaving her and her brother George trapped, and facing death. This happens in Episode 22, which was titled A Tornado, a 10-Hour Flight and a Darn Fine Ring.

In her rebellious phase, Missy struggles to get along with mother, Mary, but has become closer to her father. In Season 7, the now teenage girl embarks on a more caring role within her family. She promises George Sr. that she is done being rebellious, and thereafter takes on a more maternal role, where she even looks after her family and home when her mother Mary is absent.
