Two longtime residents of Virgin River are stepping aside as the series heads into Season 8.
Mike Valenzuela, played by Marco Grazzini, will not return next season after his storyline shifted toward a quieter resolution with Victoria. At the same time, Charmaine Roberts, portrayed by Lauren Hammersley, is also leaving following years of dramatic involvement in Jack’s past and the twins’ storyline.
According to showrunner Patrick Sean Smith, both departures reflect the show’s effort to keep long-running stories fresh while focusing on characters with continuing momentum.
Still, fans shouldn’t rule out future appearances from either character.
