While Theresa Nist is seemingly looking refreshed in her recent photos, Gerry is on his own journey. Furthermore, Gerry’s therapy appears to be the open road. He tells fans he is going on a self-proclaimed, “Nomad Granddad Tour.” Undoubtedly, it is a time for him to sightsee and take in new scenery while he sorts through the first half of 2024’s curves. After parting ways, he is enjoying some sweet solitude as he treks across the country.
On his Instagram page, he captions: “Every year, I take a completely unscripted vacation. I call it the ‘Nomad Granddad Tour‘. Today I headed west for day #1. I drove across Indiana & Illinois into Davenport, Iowa, my former hometown of 40 years.”

Furthermore, Gerry Turner loves the pureness of taking in new landmarks. Likewise, he encourages The Golden Bachelor fans to join him on his journey through his updates on social media. He says, “The mighty Mississippi is always beautiful and the ice cream is always perfect. Check in tomorrow to see where the road takes me.” On Day Two, Gerry went through, “Iowa, Missouri, and half of Kansas.” Undeniably, feeling the trip free his soul, he recounts, “From the Bridges of Madison County to Pella to the Wizard of Oz Museum, it was a Heartland discovery day. He continues, “The Nomad Granddad Tour rolls on.” Additionally, he says, “Today was a tribute to backroads and natural beauty. New Mexico is truly a Land of Enchantment. Driving to the Grand Canyon tomorrow.” Although some people can’t stand Gerry after his divorce, others are pleasantly enjoying his travels.
