In Virgin River season 7, which premiered on March 12, newlyweds Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) are headed into a brand-new chapter of their lives.
After suffering a devastating miscarriage in season 5, the couple were given an unexpected opportunity in the season 6 finale when one of Mel’s pregnant patients revealed she wanted to place her baby for adoption — and hoped Mel and Jack would become the child’s parents.
Off-screen, Breckenridge is already parent. The actress is a mother of two, sharing her children with her husband, musician Casey Hooper. Meanwhile, Henderson keeps his personal life pretty private.

Breckenridge’s Virgin River character, Mel, is in love with Jack, but in real life, the actress has been married for nearly a decade.
Breckenridge and Hooper, a musician, tied the knot in 2015 after being introduced by Katy Perry at a 2012 Grammys afterparty. The couple have since welcomed two children: son Jack in 2016 and daughter Billie in 2017.
A year later, Breckenridge praised Hooper during an interview with Good Housekeeping, calling him an “incredible” husband and father.
“I’m a lucky girl,” she added.
Martin Henderson

Henderson, who plays the ultra-charming Jack, keeps a low profile regarding his personal life.
During a December 2024 appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Breckenridge hinted at Henderson’s relationship status while telling a story about her son, Jack.
“My son is starting to figure out that mommy is on TV,” she told the host. “He sees pictures of me and Martin kissing, and he’s like, ‘Do you love him? Are you gonna marry him?’ And I’m like, ‘No, it’s pretend. I’m married to your dad, and Martin is with somebody else.’ “
Benjamin Hollingsworth and Nila Myers

Benjamin Hollingsworth, who portrays Dan Brady, has been married for over a decade.
The actor and his wife, Nila Myers, wed in 2012 after a whirlwind two-month engagement.
“It’s about who you share it with. @nilababy I can’t imagine going on this journey with anyone but you. My rock, my flower, my love,” Hollingsworth wrote on Instagram in honor of the couple’s 12th wedding anniversary in November 2024.
Hollingsworth and Myers share three children: sons Hemingway Nash and Gatsby Willem, born in 2016 and 2018, respectively, and daughter Juniper, who arrived in 2020.

Colin Lawrence, a series regular, played opposite his actress wife, Lucia Walters, on Virgin River. Their characters, John “Preacher” Middleton and Julia, had a romance on the show during season 4.
The real-life couple met in acting class, and after 18 months of dating, they got engaged. Lawrence proposed during a fake “girlfriend/boyfriend” audition.
He arranged for the couple to meet with a casting director and act out an intense scene between a woman who wanted to move to Paris and a man who didn’t.
“So there we were, in the midst of this heated argument, and Colin starts ad-libbing,” Walters told Medium’s Authority Magazine in October 2022. “He gets down on one knee, and me, still in character, went along with it … till he pulled out a ring. I finally clued in when I saw the casting director crying. I stuttered, ‘Yes!’ That was a day to remember.”
Lawrence and Walters got married in 1999 and share two daughters.
Zibby Allen and Adam James Blair

Zibby Allen, who plays Brie Sheridan, has been married to artist Adam James Blair since 2018.
Allen and Blair keep their relationship largely out of the public eye, but they enjoy paying tribute to each other on Instagram from time to time.

Jenny Cooper, who portrays Joey Barnes, is married to Daniel Cooper. The couple wed in 2008 and share three kids.
“I have a great support system at home with my husband,” Jenny said while talking to InBetween in 2022 about balancing her life as an actress and a mom.
The Open Heart star echoed that same sentiment on Instagram in June 2023, when she penned a sweet tribute to Daniel on Father’s Day.
