Before starring in 9-1-1: Nashville and NCIS: Los Angeles, Chris O’Donnell had a clear goal in life — to build a large family like the one he grew up in.
He and his wife Caroline O’Donnell married in 1997 and now share five children: Lily, Chip, Charlie, Finley and Maeve.
Their first child, Lily, was born in 1999 and later pursued film studies at Boston College before working in TV distribution.
Son Chip, born in 2000, developed a love for sports and spent his childhood playing multiple games, including golf with his dad.
Charlie, born in 2003, showed early interest in acting and appeared on NCIS: Los Angeles as a younger version of Chris’s character.
Next came Finley in 2006, who also briefly appeared on the series as a child version of his father’s role.
The youngest, Maeve, was born in 2007 and has joined her father at public events, including the 2022 Emmys.
Chris once stepped back from acting to focus on raising his children and later returned to television partly because the job allowed him to stay close to his family.
