Kunal Nayyar may have made millions starring on “The Big Bang Theory,” but the actor says his favorite use of that money is helping strangers.
In an interview with The i Paper, Nayyar revealed that he regularly goes on GoFundMe and anonymously pays off random families’ medical bills.
The actor, who reportedly has a $45 million net worth, said wealth has never felt like a burden.
“Money has given me greater freedom,” he explained. “The greatest gift is the ability to give back and change people’s lives.”
Nayyar became famous playing Raj Koothrappali during the sitcom’s 12-season run from 2007 to 2019, when the main cast eventually earned around $1 million per episode.
Outside of helping families with healthcare costs, Nayyar also supports animal charities, especially organizations that protect dogs.
