“The Big Bang Theory” Could Return: Cast and Creators Hint at a Possible Comeback md14

Kunal Nayyar may be one of television’s wealthiest stars, but the former “The Big Bang Theory” actor says the greatest benefit of his success is the ability to quietly help others.

In a recent interview with The i Paper, Nayyar revealed that he often spends his evenings browsing GoFundMe, where he anonymously donates to families struggling with medical expenses.

“Money has given me greater freedom,” he said. “And the greatest gift is being able to give back and change people’s lives.”

Nayyar, who built a fortune playing Raj Koothrappali on the hit CBS sitcom from 2007 to 2019, reportedly has a net worth of around $45 million. At the peak of the show’s popularity, the core cast was earning about $1 million per episode, and Forbes ranked Nayyar among the highest-paid TV actors in the world in both 2015 and 2018.

Despite the massive earnings, the actor says wealth doesn’t feel like a burden. Instead, he describes it as “a grace from the universe,” allowing him to support causes close to his heart — including animal charities and families facing overwhelming medical bills.

“That’s my masked vigilante thing,” Nayyar joked about his late-night GoFundMe donations.
