Netflix has officially renewed Virgin River for season 8, continuing the story of the small Northern California town and its beloved residents.
However, fans hoping for a quick return may need to wait. Production is expected to begin in April and wrap in August, making a 2027 release the most likely timeline.
The new season will also bring cast changes, with Marco Grazzini and Lauren Hammersley exiting the series after their storylines concluded in season 7.
Season 8 will reportedly begin with a four-month time jump and will address major cliffhangers from the season 7 finale, including Mel and Jack’s baby storyline and Brady’s fate after the crash.
