Virgin River Season 7 begins with a dramatic twist that immediately throws the small town into chaos. After Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack (Martin Henderson) finally celebrate their long-awaited wedding in the Season 6 finale, the new season reveals a disturbing development involving Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley).
In the opening moments, viewers learn that drug kingpin Calvin — the father of Charmaine’s twins — is dead. Even more alarming, Charmaine and her babies have disappeared after Jack discovered her house ransacked.
Showrunner Patrick Sean Smith explained that the cliffhanger was carefully planned. The writers debated what Jack should see when he entered the house, ultimately deciding that the moment needed to launch a bigger mystery.
As Season 7 unfolds, Brie (Zibby Allen) and Mike (Marco Grazzini) work together to investigate Charmaine’s disappearance and uncover her connection to Calvin’s death.
Meanwhile, Mel and Jack begin adjusting to life as newlyweds and start taking steps toward building a family through adoption.
