A familiar face is returning to the NCIS universe. LL Cool J will once again portray fan-favorite agent Sam Hanna in an upcoming Season 22 episode airing April 21.
The reveal came through a behind-the-scenes Instagram video posted by the star, where he excitedly told viewers he was back filming on the NCIS set.
Cool J originally debuted as Sam Hanna in 2009 before becoming one of the central figures of NCIS: Los Angeles. The spinoff ran for 14 seasons and concluded in 2023, but the character has remained active within the franchise with appearances in NCIS: Hawaiʻi.
Fans of the procedural drama can expect the return to deliver plenty of nostalgia and action when Hanna reconnects with the team.
