Alberto Rosende likely won’t return for Chicago Fire season 13 (but we can’t rule a cameo out)

We said goodbye to a character in between Chicago Fire season 11 and 12. Alberto Rosende came out of the series, but Gallo did stop by to say goodbye first.

The exit came as a shock to many people. After all, firefighting was something Gallo loved doing. Well, it turned out that Gallo left under good terms and for a good reason. He wanted to be around the family he had just got in contact with. After years of being alone, he had people around him.

Nobody could begrudge him of that. When Gallo came to the station in the Chicago Fire season 12 premiere to say goodbye, we could tell there was no bad blood. Now eyes are on whether he’ll come back in season 13.

Alberto Rosende isn’t returning to Chicago Fire in season 13

There is no word on Rosende coming back into the series. At least, not full-time. This would mean walking back some amazing character development for Gallo, or it would mean a bittersweet return as it would suggest something happened to his family.

That doesn’t mean we can’t see him make a cameo. Let’s keep in mind that Gallo is best friends with Ritter and Violet. They did once try to start a business together. While that eventually came to an end, there’s nothing to say that something about the business won’t come back up. Could we see Gallo show up if that happens.

Another way to see Gallo make a cameo is if there’s something that involves Violet and Carver. The two started hooking up, but it was clear that Carver wanted more from the relationship than Violet. Violet is holding back still mourning the loss of Hawkins. Could Gallo appear to help Violet figure out that she is allowed to move on and be happy? It would be great for Gallo to be the one to do this considering the feelings he and Violet once shared for each other.

Plenty of characters have left Firehouse 51 and returned for an episode here and there. We’ve seen it with Casey on numerous occasions, and there is the promise that Eamonn Walker’s Boden will return after leaving at the end of season 12. Gallo has only moved to Michigan. It’s not that far away should Firehouse 51 need his help, whether professional or personal. Don’t rule out a cameo from Alberto Rosende in Chicago Fire season 13.
