Chris O’Donnell is back on television with “9-1-1 Nashville,” marking his first series since wrapping “NCIS: Los Angeles” after 14 seasons.
In the upcoming drama, O’Donnell stars as Captain Dan Hart, a fearless firefighter navigating both dangerous rescues and personal challenges.
The project required him to relocate to Nashville, which he described as a refreshing change after years in Los Angeles.
Speaking with Extra, he said the new setting and creative team brought an entirely different energy to his work.
The timing of the move was particularly significant, as O’Donnell’s family had recently been displaced from their Pacific Palisades home due to wildfires, forcing them to live elsewhere for eight months.
Fortunately, he had help settling into Nashville thanks to LeAnn Rimes, his co-star and a longtime star in the country music scene.
“It was fun experiencing the city with her,” O’Donnell said.
Another unexpected element of the role is that Captain Hart is also a rodeo rider, something the actor admitted he had very little experience with before joining the show.
