Kaley Cuoco has her eye on an iconic role — country music legend Dolly Parton.
The actress recently revealed she would love to portray the “Jolene” singer in a biopic, saying she’s long admired both Dolly’s talent and her character.
“I’m in love with her,” Cuoco shared. “You hear the nicest things about her.”
She also pointed out something she particularly admires about Dolly’s personal life — her long marriage to Carl Dean, whom she wed in 1966. Despite being together for nearly six decades, the couple maintained a famously private relationship and even lived separately, a dynamic Cuoco finds refreshing.
“That’s great,” she said playfully. “Knock knock, let’s have dinner.”
The role of Dolly has sparked interest from other actresses too. Amanda Seyfried recently said she’d love to play the singer, while Dolly herself once suggested Kristin Chenoweth would be an “ideal” choice for a film adaptation of her life story.
