The OSP Team Reunites as NCIS: LA Returns to Screens md14

David J. North is deepening his ties with CBS Studios.

The “NCIS: Origins” co-creator and showrunner has signed an overall deal with the studio and will continue leading the series into its already-renewed third season. Co-creator Gina Lucita Monreal is set to exit at the end of Season 2.

Under the agreement, North will develop and produce new projects across CBS’s broadcast and streaming platforms. His career began on the original “NCIS,” where he rose from support staff to writer and producer before contributing to series like “Scorpion” and “NCIS: Los Angeles.” He later returned to “NCIS” as executive producer before launching the Gibbs-focused prequel.

“NCIS: Origins,” starring Austin Stowell as a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs, returns March 3.
