Mark Harmon is stepping back into Gibbs’ boots — and fans are buzzing about what that means for his future.
During a special Nov. 11 crossover event, Harmon will appear onscreen as Leroy Jethro Gibbs for the first time since a brief 2024 cameo. While he continues to narrate NCIS: Origins, this marks his true return to the franchise’s present timeline.
Showrunners tease that Gibbs, who left for Alaska seeking solitude, may not be alone after all. That revelation has sparked speculation about Lala Dominguez, portrayed by Mariel Molino. Though Molino says Gibbs and Lala are “star-crossed lovers” destined to remain apart for years, she leaves the door open to surprises.
