The celebrity chef talks about his six kids — Megan, twins Jack and Holly, Tilly, Oscar and Jesse — in a clip shared exclusively with PEOPLE
Gordon Ramsay’s son isn’t too happy to be his father’s mini-me.
The Next Level Chef host gave fans a crash course on the traits of his six children with wife Tana. In the clip tied to Father’s Day, the celebrity chef talks briefly about Megan, 26, twins Holly and Jack, 24, Matilda (who is more commonly known as Tilly), 22, Oscar, 5, and 7-month-old son Jesse.
His fraternal twins may share a birthday but the similarities stop there, according to his explanation. “Holly’s into fashion but, like her dad, she loves fast cars and expensive toys,” he says of his influencer daughter.
Jack, a member of the United Kingdom’s Royal Marines, doesn’t have the same interests as his father but certainly shares some of his physical traits.
“Unfortunately he does look like me and everywhere he goes, ‘Are you Gordon Ramsey’s son?’” Gordon laughs. “So he is desperate to grow his hair long, to grow a beard and not to look like his dad.”
The FOX star describes his eldest daughter as “stern and disciplined.” “There’s a reason why she’s a great police officer,” he adds of Megan, who was the first family member to receive a college degree back in 2019.
Gordon says that Tilly, who was a judge on the latest season of MasterChef Junior alongside her hosting father, is “feisty.” “She’s got my character,” he says before adding a lighthearted quip. “So good luck to her boyfriend!”
When it comes to his two youngest sons, Gordon can’t believe how quickly they have grown up. “He has the biggest feet in the school,” he says of Oscar.
Gordon also shared a unique trait of Jesse, whose birth in November was a surprise to fans.
“Jesse, man that guy is only literally a couple of months old and his fingers are as long as me,” Gordon jokes. “He definitely has chef’s hands.”
The full family of eight keeps him so busy that he can hardly keep track of them all. “Have I forgotten any of the kids? We got so many,” he jokes in the video.
But Gordon and Tana still make time for date nights.
“Date nights are crucial, whether it’s the cinema, whether it’s going out for a drive. We have a little time, but it’s quality, and so that is really important,” he told PEOPLE in May.
Those nights don’t have to fall on a weekend. In fact, they prefer weeknights.
“Everyone thinks Monday is the most boring day. It’s not,” he explained. “With a young family, we are grabbing moments, and that date night moment is crucial.”
MasterChef: Generations airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
