Heida Reed sent a message to fans following her exit in last night’s Season 3 premiere of FBI: International, thanking them “for letting Jamie into your hearts 💕 Agent Kellett out!,” she wrote on Instagram Wednesday morning, alongside a photo from the episode.
As we previously reported, Reed was set to leave the show early in the third season, but it wasn’t clear when or how.
In last night’s episode, Reed’s Agent Jamie Kellett revealed she is “leaving this, the Fly Team,” and transferring to the Washington, D.C. field office. She explained to Scott (Luke Kleintank) that after her sister died by suicide, she had promised to “live my life for the both of us,” adding “I have served my country, fell in love, I ran away from my grief” and now, “it’s time to go back home.”
At the train station at the end of the episode, Jamie had some words of advice for Scott, her former love interest, to “Go easy on yourself. Not everything you carry needs to be carried.”
Reed had portrayed Special Agent Jamie Kellett since the CBS series launch in 2021.
To help fill the spot left by Reed’s absence, Christina Wolfe appeared for the first time in last night’s episode as Special Agent Amanda Tate.
