Ending with its current Season 14, the long-running NCIS spinoff quietly became one of CBS’s longest-running scripted primetime dramas. Although the show continues to perform well in the ratings, it was reportedly brought to an end due to rising production costs. The decision gave showrunner R. Scott Gemmill and the writing team enough time to craft a meaningful farewell.
Photos released by TVLine offer a glimpse into the two-part finale, airing May 14 and May 21. The final episodes will feature the long-awaited wedding of G. Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Anna Kolcheck (Bar Paly), with Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) and Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) in attendance.
