With Young Sheldon dominating our screens and inviting us into this Texan household of the genius, Sheldon Cooper, it’s time to talk about how we really feel about the Young Sheldon characters. The spin-off of the popular Big Bang Theory explores the life of the Young Sheldon and how his intelligence began at an early age. We see how he overcomes struggles with being “different” and eventually grow up into the older Sheldon we all know and love. With each character showing their own quirks and oddities like Sheldon, here’s a ranking of all the Young Sheldon characters.
8. Billy
Despite being a child, Billy is still pretty much a bully and knows better. He scars Sheldon so badly he still remembers his trauma in adulthood and whilst he can be dramatic, I think a low ranking is only fair.
7. Mary
Now, Mary Cooper, the mother of Sheldon Cooper, is a lovely woman. Don’t get me wrong, she really cares about Sheldon and only wants the best for him. However… this can be a bit annoying. And makes me feel bad for the other kids as she favours Sheldon. She’s a bit cringe!
6. John Sturgis
He’s like an older version of Young Sheldon… too much intelligence in one place for my liking.
5. Georgie
A complete contrast to Sheldon. The typical teenage boy. Just wants to hang out with girls, repair cars and be disgusting. A bit of a vibe, lowkey.
4. George
Very chilled and laid back. Doesn’t seem bothered by much. He’s the calm that’s needed in Sheldon’s chaotic life.
3. Sheldon
The star of the show. His intelligence can be quite astonishing at times as he tackles growing up surrounded by “morons”. Young Sheldon is cute and innocent but also quite cocky at times with his cleverness. I would be scared of him.
2. Missy
Honestly, she deserves more credit. She’s chill, she’s cool and funny. Being Sheldon’s twin sister must be tough, but I would argue Missy shows off her intelligence in different ways – ways that benefit her social life compared to Sheldon.
1. Meemaw
My favourite character, Meemaw, AKA. Connie. I love her. She’s so funny, so chill and enjoys a good margarita. She’s the life of everyone’s party and is too relatable.
