Wilmer Valderrama is balancing Hollywood, family life, and now — a brand-new restaurant. The NCIS star recently opened Elegancia in Washington, D.C., and says one dish on the menu left him unexpectedly emotional.
Valderrama shared that tasting the restaurant’s sancocho reminded him so strongly of his mother that he had to call her immediately. The comforting soup, created by Chef Jova Urriola, is offered free at the end of the night and is meant to feel nostalgic and healing.
Elegancia, co-owned with Daniella Senior, features a menu inspired by Latin American cuisine, along with cocktails ranging from mango martinis to espresso-based drinks. Valderrama says the space is designed for celebration — whether it’s a date, an anniversary, or a special night out.
While continuing to film NCIS, Valderrama is also enjoying time with his growing family, carefully managing his schedule to keep evenings and mornings sacred for his kids.
