Kaley Cuoco is looking back on her first experience with Botox — and how it unexpectedly affected her time on The Big Bang Theory set.
The actress recently appeared on Amanda Hirsch’s Not Skinny but Not Fat podcast, where she candidly recalled getting Botox for the first time just days before filming an episode of the hit sitcom.
Cuoco said she was excited about the procedure, which included injections in her forehead, but quickly realized it was a mistake when she needed to be highly expressive on camera.
“There was a scene where I had to do this thing with my face and I could not move,” she explained. “Nothing moved. My forehead didn’t move at all.”
The actress admitted she was embarrassed watching herself act through the stiffness, joking that it looked like she was trying — and failing — to force expressions.
The experience ultimately changed her approach to cosmetic procedures. Cuoco said she now avoids Botox in her forehead, though she still uses it sparingly around her eyes and neck.
Despite the mishap, Cuoco has remained open about cosmetic enhancements, previously sharing that breast augmentation helped her feel more confident early in her career.
